Prince Harry and King Charles have reportedly not had a single conversation since their reunion last month. The King and Queen Camilla met with Harry, Meghan, and their two children at his Cotswolds estate.
Reunion details
A source told Vanity Fair: "The King wanted to see Harry and the children. A time was agreed for the Sussexes to come to Highgrove on Friday afternoon, and it was uncharacteristically last-minute for the king. Everyone was sworn to secrecy so that the meeting could remain private."
However, palace insiders say the pair haven't spoken since. One told Naughty But Nice: "The reunion ended, Harry flew back to California, and that was it. There hasn't been a single conversation since. People wanted this to be the start of something bigger, but right now there's nothing else on the calendar."
Not a miracle cure
Another source described the meeting as an important step but not a complete fix: "It was an important first step, not a miracle cure. Everyone left feeling the meeting was worthwhile, but nobody walked away believing everything had suddenly been fixed."
"The door hasn't been slammed shut," one source explained. "But it hasn't been thrown wide open either. Until someone makes the next move, the relationship is standing completely still."
Meghan's social media post
A social media post by Meghan has reportedly sparked controversy within the Royal Family. She posted pictures of the Sussex family allegedly walking to visit Princess Diana’s grave in Althorp Gardens, angering the King and Prince William.
Reportedly, the Queen had "warned" Meghan not to share anything about the visit. An insider said: "She made it clear that this was for Archie and Lilibet, but if there were any leaks about their meeting, the door would be closed forever."
King's disappointment
The insider added that the King is "extremely disappointed" with Harry and Meghan, saying: "He was told by everyone, including William, that Harry and Meghan wouldn't be able to keep their traps shut, but he still opened up the doors for this reunion."
"He wants Harry back home where he belongs, but this isn't the Harry he once knew," they continued. "Now the family is dead against inviting the Sussexes back for Christmas."
