Former MasterChef star Gregg Wallace has shared a photo of his rarely seen daughter, Libby, as the family celebrates her wedding to Alex Marsden. The 61-year-old spent the weekend with his daughter, Libby Lilly Wallace, as she walked down the aisle.
Gregg, who was on MasterChef from 2005-2024, shared a picture of himself and Libby, 29, before the ceremony. Libby wore a dress with a lace bodice, sheer sleeves and a chiffon skirt that fell in layers towards the floor. She laughed with her dad whilst holding an autumnal bouquet of orange and white flowers in one hand and her dad's hand in the other.
The chef wore a grey suit with a boutonniere made of the same flowers as the bouquet. He also wore brown shoes. In the caption of the photo, he said: "My Libby Lilly Wallace is now Mrs Marsden. So proud."
Autumnal wedding details
This came after he shared a slideshow of pictures he took at the wedding, including a cover of a book with flowers and pumpkins on it, that said on the cover: "Welcome to our next chapter. Libby and Alex. October 10, 2026". On the spine, it added: "Forever & Always".
The pictures also showed that Libby and Alex got married in a brick barn with fairy lights hanging from the ceiling. The autumnal theme was kept going with plushie pumpkins on the tables. Gregg added in the caption: "Couldn’t be more proud of my beautiful and clever little girl."
Fans hopped in the comments of both posts to congratulate Libby. One said: "Congratulations @libbylilywallace hope you had the most perfect day." Another added: "She was a beautiful bride. I'm so happy for them both. A huge congratulations and much happiness for the future."
Family and career background
Gregg shares his daughter with Denise Lovell, with whom he also shares his son, Tom, 32. The pair met in 1993 and were married from 1999 to 2004. Gregg is now married to Anne-Marie Sterpini, with whom he has a seven-year-old called Sid. He is also soon to become a grandfather and shared a sonogram of his grandbaby on social media, but he has not revealed if it is Tom or Libby who is set to welcome a child.
Currently, Gregg makes YouTube videos about food, but he is best known for his time on MasterChef. His time with the show ended in November 2024 amid an investigation into misconduct.
A review subsequently upheld 45 of 83 allegations made against him, including one instance described as "unwelcome physical contact", and Gregg was sacked from his presenting role last year.
What he misses about MasterChef
He has admitted that there are "a number of things" he misses about his time on the BBC cooking show. "The first one is the money," he said in a video. "It paid me really well. I did a lot of television over the years, and it paid me really well.
"So, I miss that. Secondly, I miss the travel, all the restaurants we went to, the places around the world that we went to, just fantastic. But I also miss wearing nice clothes every day.
"I would get a budget to buy clothes on every series. And I did three series a year for 20 years. So, in the end, I just built up this lovely wardrobe of handmade clothes. Yeah, tailored clothes, suits, jackets, trousers, shirts. I had nice cufflinks, nice shoes."
