A friend of Sarah Ferguson has insisted that the former Duchess of York does want to tell her side of the story, either through a book or an interview, despite the various denials about it this week.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's former wife has been living in the shadows this past year following her fall from grace due to her links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Rumours of a memoir
This week, rumours have been circulating about the possibility of Fergie publishing her own side of the story after her ostracism. But sources close to her dismissed claims that she'll pen a memoir, saying she has "no plans" to write a book.
Now Ms Ferguson's friend, Lizzie Cundy, has weighed in on what the former duchess might do.
Friend's claims
Speaking on Storm & Alexis on Channel 5 this week, she said: "There are a lot of areas Sarah wants to talk about, from Diana's death, Meghan and Harry, and I have to say – I think people will want to read it and hear it."
Being asked about whether such a move would backfire on her, Ms Cundy replied: "I think she's learned a lot of lessons from what happened to Andrew. She feels she is queen of the comebacks, and there's a way to revive her career.
"People like Fergie, the Queen liked Fergie. She was a very different breath of fresh air when she came into the Royal Family."
She added: "There is a bidding war for her story, for her book, as well as for her interview, and she wants to tell it."
Royal Lodge exit
Ms Ferguson and her ex-husband were forced to vacate their home, Royal Lodge, earlier this year, after the mounting furore over new details about their relationship to Epstein emerged.
Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing, while Fergie's reps have reiterated that she stands by her public condemnation of him.
