Emmerdale stars Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry have introduced their new dog Geraldine, a sister to their existing pet Ronald, in a video shared on their new Instagram account. The clip shows Geraldine enjoying freshly picked peas, while Ronald appears less enthusiastic.
Couple's life at the allotment
Jeff and Zoe, who joined Emmerdale in 2000 as Cain Dingle and Rhona Goskirk, met at drama school over two decades ago. They live in the Yorkshire Dales as a family and work on an allotment together, which they share glimpses of on social media.
In the caption, Zoe joked: "Say hi to Ronald’s sister, Geraldine She ADORES peas (almost as much as Jeff does!)" The couple's co-stars Emma Atkins and Laura Norton sent their love, and fans praised the new content.
Family history and wedding
Jeff proposed to Zoe in 2002 after she won Best Actress at the Manchester Evening News' theatre awards. He recalled: "I had been planning to propose for some time and thought to myself: 'If she wins today, I'll do it today'. When she won, I leaped out of my seat in front of her."
The couple married in 2003 at Hedingham Castle, with celebrations at the Swan Hotel in Lavenham. They welcomed daughter Violet in 2005 and son Stan in 2008. In 2020, they announced puppy Ronald, who accompanied their dog Rita, who died in 2024.
