EastEnders star Pierre Counihan-Moullier has reportedly quit the BBC One soap after just over a year in the role, marking a fourth major exit from Albert Square. The 26-year-old, who has played returning Branning son Oscar since July 2025, is expected to remain on screen until at least early 2027.

Oscar made an immediate impact on viewers when he arrived back in Walford, quickly becoming a fan favourite thanks to a string of big storylines. These have included a turbulent love triangle involving Jasmine Fisher and Josh Goodwin, plus a high-stakes New Year's plot that sees Oscar and his sister Lauren held at gunpoint.
Despite the exit news, viewers won't see Oscar disappear overnight. Because the character was heavily featured in a special flashforward episode teasing a dramatic New Year's Day storyline, Pierre is expected to remain on screen until at least early 2027.

A source told The Sun: "Viewers are still reeling from the news they are losing Kellie and Aaron, two incredibly popular staples."

They added that Pierre will film his final scenes at the Elstree studios in Hertfordshire, and that producers are expected to leave the character's future open. The source continued: "The fans love Pierre, so this is a huge blow to the show."
