Dani Dyer and Jarrod Bowen: First Meeting, Chant Reaction

Dani Dyer and Jarrod Bowen's relationship began after the West Ham footballer was spotted leaving the Love Island star's home in Essex in October 2021. He was seen wearing a grey hoodie and drove off in his Mercedes, and Dani emerged in her workout gear shortly afterwards.

The couple went public in December 2021 and have since shared their romance on social media. They married last year and share twins together.

Romance Beginnings and Family Approval

In November 2021, Dani shared a glimpse of a romantic hotel getaway with the footballer. She was treated to a bouquet of red roses as they arrived at the luxury hotel and started their stay with champagne.

Jarrod had already received the seal of approval from Dani's dad, Danny Dyer, who called him a "lovely guy." On her Sorted with the Dyer's podcast in 2023, Dani said: "He's invested in all of the West Ham players – because he supports the team and follows some of them."

She added: "He's like: 'They're all my friends.' I'm like: 'Right, OK, Dad.' Everything is so early days. Jarrod is a lovely guy and we're enjoying getting to know each other."

Strictly Come Dancing Exit and West Ham Chant

Dani was on the 2025 Strictly Come Dancing line-up and was paired with Nikita Kuzmin, but she suffered a heartbreaking injury that forced her out of the show before it started. Dani and Nikita are now back on Strictly.

Dani has also shared her thoughts on a West Ham fan chant about her and Jarrod, sung to the tune of Gala's Freed From Desire. Since she started dating West Ham's top goal-scorer, fans at the London Stadium have sung the ode to their romance.

West Ham's cup victory in Prague sealed the chant's status in the Irons fans' songbook, with captain Declan Rice and manager David Moyes filmed getting involved.

Dani's Reaction and Danny Dyer's Joke

Dani reposted an Instagram story showing West Ham players singing along to the tune in front of fans at the Fortuna Arena. The initial caption by fellow WAG Summer Godbold read "I'm sorry Dani," with a crying face emoji, to which Dyer responded with three laughing faces.

Another fan said they 'felt for her' after hearing the song endlessly sung by the fans, to which Dani replied 'Oh I don't mind!'

Dani's dad Danny Dyer, a life-long Hammers fan, has also made it clear he is not cross about the tune. Joking on his Instagram page, the former EastEnders actor wrote: "@jarrodbowen is on fire ….and he's….cuddling me daughter or something."
