Cruz Beckham shares throwback snap with Brooklyn amid feud

Cruz Beckham has shared a throwback photo with his brother Brooklyn amid their ongoing family feud. The 21-year-old musician posted a picture of himself with Brooklyn and their brother Romeo, 23, taken when they were children. He captioned the post: "Brothers," along with a blue heart emoji.

Family Feud Background

The eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham, who married Nicola Peltz in April 2022, publicly disowned his family earlier this year in a social media post, and they have not spoken since. Brooklyn's statement about his relationship with his parents went viral.

The post did not go unnoticed by Cruz's 2.3 million followers, with one writing: "Brothers forever Cruz!" whilst another said: "Precious memories forever!"

Cruz's Career and Upcoming Performance

Away from his famous family, Cruz has carved out a successful career as a musician as part of The Breakers. The post comes just days ahead of him and his band playing Reading and Leeds Festival on 27 August.

Earlier Reconciliation Attempt

Earlier this year, Brooklyn's sister Harper, 14, attempted to visit her older brother while she was in LA. However, hopes of a reconciliation were quickly dashed as Brooklyn and Nicola were nowhere to be found, leaving Harper with no choice but to turn away without setting foot inside.

Brooklyn was in New York City – the opposite side of the United States, while his family were enjoying their trip to Hollywood to honour Sir David and his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. An Instagram post showing him running made that clear.

Speaking to Page Six, a spokesperson for the eldest Beckham child claimed: "That photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all — this was choreographed for the cameras."

The Beckhams have long been dogged by reports of bitter family feuds, with Brooklyn repeatedly turning his back on his relatives. Earlier this year, he publicly accused his family of trying to "ruin" his marriage to Nicola, and even announced via Instagram that he had no wish to repair ties, instructing his parents to communicate with him solely through legal representatives.

Despite this, Harper was spotted making a beeline for Brooklyn's home shortly after the Hollywood ceremony in what appeared to be an olive branch. It came just months after Brooklyn accused his parents of manipulating his life, trying to sabotage his relationship with wife Nicola and damaging his mental health in their quest to keep 'brand Beckham' moving along.

He wrote: "I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed."

"I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into."

"Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they'll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own façade. But I believe the truth always comes out."
