The strokes were caused by a blood clot resulting from neck artery damage, which occurred after her boyfriend Dylan strangled her during consensual sex, despite both believing the pressure applied was minimal.
In the recent episodes, Betsy returned home to continue her recovery. However, her best friend Lauren visited and, after a tense conversation about Dylan, stormed out, leaving Betsy alone.
