Day seven of the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow brought a range of action across athletics, track cycling, netball, and bowls, captured in the best images from the day.
Athletics
Wales’s Charlotte Henrich took the start in the women’s 400m semi-finals at the Scotstoun Stadium. Cameroon’s Derick Chiambah Gama competed in the men’s triple jump qualifying round, while Nigeria’s Nnamdi Chinecherem took part in the men’s javelin qualifying round.
Adel Cupidon of Mauritius also featured in the men’s triple jump qualifying round. Barbadian hurdler Adeyah Brewster fell on the track during the women’s 100m heats.
Track Cycling
New Zealand’s quartet was in action during the men’s 4000m team pursuit qualifying round, the first day of track cycling at the Games. Wales’s Megan Barker, Anna Morris, Ciara Oliva, and Jessica Roberts waited for their turn in the women’s 4000m team pursuit qualifying.
England’s Sophie Unwin, piloted by Anna Whitworth-Hay, competed in the women’s Tandem B sprint qualifying round.
Netball
Uganda and Scotland players huddled together after their final preliminary round pool match, which Uganda won 65-56. Despite the loss, Scotland are guaranteed their best ever finish at a Commonwealth Games, facing Malawi in a playoff for seventh place.
Bowls
Jeht Nobbs, representing Norfolk Island, showed a skull tattoo on his leg during the bowls competition. Nobbs and Michael Trickey took on Scotland’s MBE pairing of Paul Foster and Alex Marshall.
