Carole Middleton made a radiant appearance at Day 2 of Royal Ascot on Wednesday, ahead of her daughter, Princess Catherine's arrival. The Princess of Wales's mother looked chic in a pale pink dress and a matching hat, joined by her daughter-in-law, Alizee Thevenet, who is married to James Middleton.
Royal Carriage Parade
The Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to attend Royal Ascot today, having been named on the carriage list. The royal couple, last seen publicly on Monday at Garter Day in Windsor Castle, will ride in one of four horse-drawn carriages from Windsor Great Park to the Ascot grandstand in a choreographed parade at 2pm.
William and Catherine will be joined by Lady Sarah Chatto, the only daughter of the late Princess Margaret, who will present trophies for The Queen's Vase. The heir to the throne will present the trophies for the Prince of Wales's Stakes.
Princess Catherine's Return
This marks Princess Catherine's first appearance at the racing event since 2023. Meanwhile, the King and Queen experienced disappointment on the opening day when their horse, Reaching High, lost in the Ascot Stakes, with 25-1 shot Kizlyar victorious. Charles and Camilla watched from the royal box alongside the Princess Royal, her son Peter Phillips and his wife Harriet Sperling, and other guests including the Queen's son Tom Parker Bowles.
