Camilla's 8-word warning to Meghan 'fell on deaf ears'

Queen Camilla's warning to Meghan Markle over her children's reunion with King Charles reportedly "fell on deaf ears", according to a source. The Queen had attached a condition to Harry and Meghan's UK trip last month, insisting they not share anything online about the private meeting.

Social media breach

Meghan shared a series of summer-themed pictures on social media in late July, including a shot of Prince Harry, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet at what appeared to be Althorp Estate, Princess Diana's ancestral home. The Queen, who is thought to have been present when Charles was reunited with his grandchildren for the first time in four years, was "very clear" about the no-posting rule, a source told New Idea.

"Camilla's words appear to have fallen on deaf ears," they said. "She feels that she was clear about no social media posts, and if Meghan thinks Althorp was an exception, she was very wrong."

Potential consequences

The condition was primarily intended to keep the reunion private for Archie and Lilibet, the source added. However, Meghan breaching it could mean "the door would remain shut for her forever."
