Beatrice and Eugenie suffer brutal blow in new royal poll

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have received a significant setback following a new YouGov poll that reveals the British public's views on the royal sisters. The data, published today and based on a survey conducted at the end of last week, indicates that the York sisters are struggling to gain popularity across the nation.

York Sisters' Ratings

The latest figures show that Beatrice is liked by just 29% of people, while 31% view her negatively, giving her a net score of -2. Her younger sister Eugenie fared no better, managing a 28% positive rating while 31% actively dislike her.

These numbers suggest that the recent release of family photographs celebrating the naming of Eugenie's newborn daughter, Adelaide, did nothing to improve her public standing or boost her popularity among Britons.

Andrew's Catastrophic Standing

The sisters' ratings, however, are far better than those of their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who remains at the bottom as one of the most disliked figures in the country. Only 4% of Britons hold a positive view of the former Duke of York, while an overwhelming 89% see him in a negative light.

William and Kate Top the Rankings

Meanwhile, the Prince and Princess of Wales have been named Britain's favourite royals. Prince William tops the royal pecking order with a 74% positive approval rating compared to just 18% negative. The Princess of Wales follows closely with a 73% positive rating and a negative score of just 14%.

The Princess Royal secured third place with a 68% positive rating, followed by her brother, King Charles, who holds a 58% positive rating as he continues to lead the monarchy.
