The wait is nearly over for fans of the BBC's groundbreaking dating series I Kissed a Girl. The second season, which will also be the show's last, is set to premiere this month. Hosted by Dannii Minogue, the program made history as the first UK dating show specifically for queer women. Following the success of I Kissed a Boy in 2023, the franchise has garnered a devoted following.
The BBC confirmed that the new season will consist of 10 episodes, concluding the series. In an Instagram post teasing the upcoming episodes, the caption read: "Let the flirting begin. #IKissedAGirl coming to iPlayer on the 23rd of June. It's loud, proud and starts with a kiss as Dannii Minogue plays cupid to ten single ladies. It's a heartbreaking, heart-racing hot girl queer summer."

Since its debut two years ago, the show has earned critical acclaim, winning Best Media Moment at the DIVA awards and receiving nominations for Outstanding Reality Competition Programme at the GLAAD awards and Best Multichannel Programme at the Broadcast Awards. However, reports indicate that the cancellation is due to cost-cutting measures at the BBC.
I Kissed a Girl will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer starting June 23.
