The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have had their letter to Father Christmas unveiled in a new trailer for Meghan Markle’s Netflix Christmas special.
The trailer for the festive edition of With Love, Meghan, released on Wednesday evening, shows a handwritten letter on a mug. The note, written in Meghan’s handwriting, reads in part: “Dear Santa, We have been good and […]” and “Please travel safely”. It is signed “XO Archie & Lili”.
In the trailer, Meghan is also seen sharing a kiss with Prince Harry, as well as adding gifts to personalised red-and-white advent calendars for her children. The Duchess is heard saying in a voiceover: “I love the holiday season. It’s about finding time to connect with the people we love, embracing traditions, and making new ones.”
The programme features Meghan making crafts with Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka, cooking with American chef Tom Colicchio, and making wreaths with friends Kelly Zafjen and Lindsay Roth. Viewers are told to “discover more holiday cheer, shop As Ever”.
The show, which originally aired in March and was criticised by reviewers, saw a second series released in August. The Christmas special will arrive on Netflix on December 3, coinciding with the King’s plans to host a state visit by the president of Germany between December 3 and 5.
