The Princess Royal and the beloved baking expert were observed enthusiastically supporting the horses as the races reached their thrilling climax.
Braving the Chill in Style
With temperatures in Gloucestershire stubbornly remaining below ten degrees Celsius, both Anne and Mrs Berry opted for practical yet stylish attire, bundling up in warm coats and jumpers to combat the March cold. Princess Anne played a ceremonial role, personally presenting the trophy to jockey Paul Townend after his victory in the prestigious Gold Cup aboard Gaelic Warrior.
A Family Affair at the Races
The day out was distinctly familial for both prominent figures. Mary Berry, aged 90, was accompanied by her daughter Belles Berry, while Princess Anne's children, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, also attended. Zara, who had been present earlier in the week, looked elegant in a crimson coat paired with brown leather boots, and she was joined by her husband, Mike Tindall. Peter Phillips attended with his girlfriend, Harriet Sperling, who made a fashion statement in a £2,550 Winchester Coat Dress from Suzannah London.

The celebrity sightings extended beyond the royal and culinary circles. Reality television star Georgia Toffolo was spotted enjoying the festivities alongside Jeremy Clarkson. The Gold Cup, a three-mile, two-and-a-half-furlong race that is a highlight of the jumps racing calendar, concluded dramatically with Gaelic Warrior and jockey Paul Townend securing victory. The horse was a joint favourite at 11-4 alongside Jango Baie, who finished second. Inothewayurthinkin, the 2025 winner, came third, and Harry Redknapp-owned Jukebox Man placed eighth. Townend had previously won the Champion Hurdle on Tuesday with Lossiemouth, making it a standout season.
Following the win, Gaelic Warrior's trainer, Willie Mullins, praised the performance in an interview with ITV, noting it was the first time an owner had won both the Champion Hurdle and the Gold Cup in the same season. He commended the horse's dominance against a competitive field, marking a fantastic achievement for all involved.
