Amanda Holden has taken fans on a house tour of her 'dream home', complete with a Britain's Got Talent prop, after going all out with renovations. The BGT judge, 55, moved into the £7million Surrey mansion in 2023 with her husband, Chris Hughes, and their daughters, Lexi and Hollie. She has spent the last three years putting her own unique stamp on the property, before showing off some of her choices on Instagram - including items from her own DFS collection.
Instagram House Tour
In a new video, set to House Tour by Sabrina Carpenter, she lived out her Cribs dream as she welcomed the cameras through the door, unveiling retro artwork, sprawling staircase, grand piano and a fluffy pink footstool of dreams. “Welcome, you fabulous people! What else would my house be filled with, other than my gorgeous sofa collection with @DFS,” she captioned the post.
Of course, fans were immediately obsessed and flocked to the comments below, with one penning: “The house tour we all needed.” “Living like a queen, as you should. I adore you,” a follower agreed, while an Instagram user added: “Every detail of your mansion is impeccable, Queen.”
Renovation Journey
Amanda made the move from south London to the swanky Surrey mansion - thought to be worth £7million - in 2023, along with her husband and their two daughters, Lexi and Hollie. She has spent the last three years changing aspects of the property to match her taste, after sharing how much she loves interior design.
In her new Instagram video, which doubled as an ad for her DFS collection, she welcomed fans through the doors of the stunning property, showing off her incredible design choices. The foyer includes a not-so-subtle nod to her Britain's Got Talent stint, with a giant X prop in front of the sprawling staircase.
Dream Home Realized
Amanda also unveiled a gorgeous white sofa in one room, as well as retro artwork, a grand piano, a very fluffy footstool and so much more. Alongside the video, she wrote: “Welcome, you fabulous people! What else would my house be filled with, other than my gorgeous sofa collection with @DFS.”
Amanda previously opened up about the move in a chat with the Daily Mail, describing it as her 'dream home'. “My entire life I have wanted the dream home, and you do the stepping up and now I've finally got it,” she said at the time. “I definitely feel settled… I'm obsessed with interior design and I said to my husband, 'Don't worry, this is the house for life and it will take me a couple of years to do it up.'”
The TV star loved the opportunity to put her own stamp on the place. She added: “It was the perfect house, and most people would have probably moved in and kept it the same, but it was a very pale, white and grey house and it's not like that anymore.”
