Vogue Williams Reveals Phone Call to Spencer After I'm A Celeb Exit
Vogue Williams on Spencer's Absence from I'm A Celeb Exit

Reality TV star Vogue Williams has opened up about the emotional moment she finally spoke to her husband, Spencer Matthews, after her departure from I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! The 40-year-old model left the ITV survival show on Monday night, but was notably greeted by her manager instead of her spouse.

Why Spencer Matthews Was Missing

Fans expecting to see former Made In Chelsea star Spencer, 37, waiting at the iconic rope bridge were left wondering about his whereabouts. The reason for his absence was an extraordinary physical challenge. As Vogue explained during a video link appearance on Tuesday's Lorraine, Spencer is currently attempting to complete seven ultra marathons across seven continents. At the time of her exit, he was in Antarctica preparing for the final, and most gruelling, leg of his mission.

Despite his physical distance, Spencer was the first person Vogue contacted after leaving the programme. "I spoke to Spencer, he was the first person I spoke to when I came out," she shared. She expressed pride in his achievement, noting he had already completed his sixth triathlon and was poised to finish his epic challenge.

Reunion Plans and Family Longing

The couple, who married in 2018 and share three children—Theodore, Gigi, and Otto—have never been apart for this long. Vogue admitted she found the separation unbelievable. "We spend so much time together and we've never not spoken to him for this long - him or the kids," she said. "It's been unbelievable, I've missed them so much."

Spencer took to Instagram to address his absence directly. Sharing a holiday photo of the pair, he wrote: "Disappointed to hear that my gorgeous Vogue is out of I’m A Celeb but I’m so proud of the brave stint she did in there." He praised her courage and positivity, adding that he would have "loved nothing more" than to be there. He confirmed they would now be able to FaceTime, with a full family reunion planned for the following week.

A Message of Support from the Jungle

In a touching display of mutual support, Spencer also shared a message Vogue had written for him before entering the jungle, which he posted on his Stories the night she was eliminated. Her pre-recorded words read: "Spence has landed in Antarctica - as I knew he would. This will be the most gruelling part of the whole challenge, but if anyone can push through it, it's him."

Vogue, who first found fame on Fade Street in 2012, follows fellow campmates Eddie Kadi and Alex Scott out of the competition. Her exit marks the end of her jungle adventure, but the beginning of a long-awaited reconnection with her family, albeit initially via satellite from the icy plains of Antarctica.
