Trigger Point returns for its fourth season this Sunday, August 30, at 9pm on STV, with Vicky McClure reprising her role as Lana Washington, a bomb disposal operative with the Metropolitan Police bomb disposal squad. The first three seasons have been re-added to STV Player, allowing viewers to catch up before the new episodes air.
What to expect in series four
The high-octane series follows Lana and her team as they face dangerous terrorist threats, diffuse explosive devices, and handle high-stakes counter-terrorism operations. The synopsis for the upcoming season promises that Lana and her fellow explosive officers "continue their quest to keep the capital safe from explosive devices and terrorist threats", with their latest adversaries being a group of "professional mercenaries".
McClure said: "I love working with the team. We have a great time making the show and I cannot wait to continue Lana’s journey on Trigger Point."

With all three earlier seasons now uploaded to STV Player, existing fans can remind themselves of Lana's story so far, while new viewers can start from the beginning before series four gets underway. The show has been a hit since it first aired in 2022.
