The Traitors contestant Jessie Roux has delivered a brilliantly nonchalant response after discovering her fellow Faithful, Matty Hyndman, attempted to broker a deal to have her murdered in the BBC's hit reality show.
The Shocking Confession Box Deal
During a dramatic twist in Friday's episode, Matty Hyndman was one of three contestants granted the rare chance to speak directly to the hidden Traitors. From within a wooden confession box at Ardross Castle, he asked Traitors Rachel and Steven who their next murder target was. Upon learning it was Jessie, Matty made a bold and ruthless proposal.
He suggested they refuse an upcoming 'seduction' opportunity from host Claudia Winkleman, murder Jessie instead, and then promise to seduce him next time. "So my question is, do we have a deal?" he asked, turning on his ally in a stunning game move. Speaking to cameras later, Matty defended his actions, stating, "I'm not a monster; I don't want Jessie to die. But I came here to play the game."
Jessie's 'Unbothered' Social Media Clapback
Ahead of Wednesday's episode, Jessie addressed the on-screen betrayal not with anger, but with cool indifference. She took to Instagram to share a video of herself casually dancing, seemingly without a care in the world.
The clip was captioned: "When people are worried about Matt's deal but you're just enjoying the missions." She added further in the post, "Sorry I'm busy, please leave a message." Showing there are no hard feelings, Matty commented "LYSM" (Love You So Much), to which Jessie replied "ILYYY" (I Love You).
Fallout from a Traitor's Banishment
The episode also saw the dramatic banishment of former 'secret Traitor' Fiona Hughes. The 62-year-old from Swansea was sent home after an intense confrontation with fellow Traitor Rachel Duffy, whom she accused in front of the group.
Speaking to The Sun after her exit, Fiona admitted, "It was incredibly tense. I was really the master of my own downfall." She explained she suspected Rachel was a "lone wolf" and a "formidable player" who would eventually turn on her. Fiona's suspicion began when Rachel claimed the banished Amanda Collier had confided she was a former Metropolitan Police detective—a story Fiona doubted.
Following the banishment, a guilt-ridden Stephen Libby broke down in tears, while a triumphant Rachel declared, "I won the battle, but I need to win the war."
The game of trust and betrayal continues to deliver shocking twists as the Faithfuls and Traitors battle for the prize fund at Ardross Castle.
