Traitors fans predict Jerry Hall murder in plain sight

Fans of Celebrity Traitors believe they have worked out who will be murdered in plain sight by the Traitors after week three of the gameshow series ended on a cliffhanger.

The spin-off of the popular BBC show returned to screens earlier this month for a second round, following its successful first series last year. During Thursday's (October 15) episode, Hannah Fry was banished and King Kenny was recruited in her place by the Traitors. As Friday's (October 16) instalment began, the celebrities reunited at breakfast and realised there had been no murder.

Claudia splits the players

Before the players could continue their conversation, Claudia Winkleman arrived to tease them, before meeting them at their next mission. As the players headed off in their cars, two vehicles pulled away in another direction. Claudia spoke to the players over walkie-talkies, explaining that the two groups would separate and go to different locations.

To win money for their prize fund, each group had to work their way along a path, collecting heads worth £1,500 each to build statues. Five completed statues meant £7,500 was added to the jackpot, and Traitor Maya picked up a shield along the way.

Joe Lycett banished

At the roundtable, Joe Lycett ended up being banished by his fellow players, after being sure that a recruitment had taken place and making clear he wanted to join the Traitors in the turret. Joe almost had a clean sweep of votes, but Miranda Hart voted for Ross Kemp instead, drawing laughs from the celebrities.

In his final speech, the comedian said: "Absolutely loved it. Total dream... I do think we're a family now and expect to be in all of your wills... I always wanted to start as a faithful and end as a traitor. I started as a Faithful. I did not get my wish. I am a Faithful."

Murder in plain sight twist

Joe's banishment was not the end, as it was revealed the Traitors would have to murder in plain sight by boring their victim to death. They had to locate a perfume, spray it in a room, lure a faithful into the spray's path, make them yawn, and ask if they are boring them. Jerry Hall was first in the room, followed by Ross, and viewers are waiting to find out who will yawn first.

Fans have taken to social media with their predictions. @ichifangirl said: "Celebrity traitors spoilers!! ITS GOING TO BE JERRY ISNT?! #Celebritytraitors." @halpins1 commented: "Jerry yawns and is killed in plain sight Ross is on to James A at round table causing his panic attack #celebritytraitors." @fluffybubbles73 shared: "If Jerry gets killed ross will clock on straight away that traitors were yawning... #celebritytraitors."

Others argued differently. @callumowen98 wrote: "Think Ross might be onto to Maya and James A, which probably means he'll yawn instead of Jerry #CelebrityTraitors," echoed by @paul_james7 who suggested: "They better hope it's ross that yawns because he is onto them, Jerry is away with the fairy's #celebritytraitors."

Some viewers were invested in the twist itself. @DavidWa57433939 posted: "Completely obsessed with a week-long cliffhanger to find out if Maya Jama and James Acaster can make Jerry Hall or Ross Kemp yawn. #CelebrityTraitors." @gosulli added: "So my Friday evening has been spent seeing who's gonna win in a yawn-off between Jerry Hall & Ross Kemp & now I have to wait til next Thursday to find out!! #CelebrityTraitors."
