An explosive argument breaks out between two contestants on Tempting Fortune tonight, as Sarah and Shaf clash over spending from the group's shared prize fund.
The third series of the Channel 4 show began last week as 12 strangers set off on a 13-day trek through the tropics of Langkawi, Malaysia. Stripped of home comforts and surviving on basic rations, the contestants started the challenge with a chance to win a share of the £300,000 prize pot. Along the way, they face temptations and experiences that come with a price tag, with every pound spent taken from the collective fund.
Taxi spending sparks criticism
Dog groomer Sarah, 56, from Greater Manchester, has drawn criticism from viewers and co-stars after spending £2,000 of the group's money on a taxi to avoid walking. In an exclusive clip from tonight's episode, train conductor Shaf, 28, from West Yorkshire, tells Sarah that the group is worried she will keep spending and leave them with nothing.
Shaf says: "So we were all discussing the one person were really worried about taking everything and leaving us with nothing and we said your name quite a lot. worry that you're going to keep taking, taking, taking and then leave and so much money has gone."
Argument turns heated
Sarah hits back: "If i take temptations it's to get me through to the end, to the finish line, that's my goal. Let it drop otherwise we're going to fall out, Shaf." A shocked Shaf replies: "Right, Sarah there's no need to come at me like that." She responds: "Shaf, you're just going on and on."
Things turn fiery as Shaf gets up and says: "Put it this way if you're going to be like that, I think you're being f****** greedy put it that way. How do you feel about that?"
"Don't come attacking me," Sarah says before Shaf continues: "You'r taking out of the group pot all the time Sarah. Right, it's not you in this experience. It's not just about you."
Shaf then walks off and is later seen taking the camera, saying: "With Sarah it just goes in one ear and out the other and to be honest it's getting irratating now."
He adds: "I'm p***** off because nobody is thinking about my feelings. Everybody is thinking about themselves and I'm slowly starting to realise that."
Fans will have to wait and see if Sarah continues to spend or if she listens to the concerns of the team members. Tempting Fortune continues Tuesday, October 6 at 9.30pm on Channel 4.
