Strictly Come Dancing star John Nellis was heard telling professional partner Katya Jones he was 'falling apart' during their most recent routine, as the show released its first hidden mics video of the series.
The audio was captured during the couple's Titanic-themed Couple's Choice routine on Saturday night (October 3), when all 15 celebrities and their professional partners performed in week two of the BBC One dance contest. The Movie Week show marked the first public vote and first elimination of this year's run, with results revealed during the Sunday (October 4) results show.
First hidden mics video of the series
The show's social media team shared the video, in which the stars' conversations from the dance floor are recorded and cut together. In the clip, John was heard saying he was 'falling apart' during the routine with Katya.
Seeing the funny side, John commented on Strictly's post, writing: "'I'm falling apart' [crying laughing and crying face emojis]."
Leaderboard drop and judge's comments
After topping the leaderboard last week with a score of 31, John and Katya scored a slightly lower 23. Judge Craig Revel Horwood said John lacked a "spring in his step" during his routine and called the ending "an entire tragedy" after it almost resulted in a fall.
The first couple to leave Strictly's 2026 series was Chris Appleton and Amy Dowden, despite a plea from fans to keep them in the competition following the professional dancer's early exit last year. Fourteen couples will return to the ballroom this Saturday (October 10) for week three.
