Strictly fans spot Paul Chuckle with Winstone and Dyer

Strictly Come Dancing fans were delighted to spot childhood icon Paul Chuckle in the audience during Icons Week, seated next to Ray Winstone and Danny Dyer.

The stars were in the ballroom to support their daughters on the BBC series, while the contestants took on the personas of music legends including Adele, David Bowie, Raye and ABBA. The judges appeared to enjoy the theme, with the scoreboard looking impressive.

Fans react to unexpected trio

On Saturday (October 17), viewers watched Lawrence Robb, Will Best, Tabby Stoecker and Cach Mercer sit comfortably high on the leaderboard. However, it was the audience that caught attention, with Paul Chuckle spotted alongside Ray Winstone and Danny Dyer.

Taking to X, one fan wrote: "Ray Winstone sitting next to Paul Chuckle watching Graeme the dogfather dressed up as Bjorn from ABBA dance a salsa. The licence fee is an absolute steal". Another added: "Ray Winston , Danny Dyer and one of the chuckle brothers all sitting together . It's a soap opera in itself" as a third wrote: "There's only one legend in the audience.... Paul Chuckle!"

Delta Goodrem ruled out this week

Delta Goodrem will not perform this week, as a rib injury prompted doctors to advise her to rest. She is expected to return next week.

Delta said in a statement, released on Monday (October 12): "I’m absolutely gutted that a rib injury means I won’t be able to dance on Strictly this week. I’ve been loving every second of this experience, so having to sit this one out is heartbreaking – especially after the high of Saturday night. I cannot tell you how much I love being a part of this magical show."

It was said at the time that she would focus on rest and recovery and hopes to "be back on that dancefloor very soon". Delta thanked people for "all the love and support", adding: "I’ll be cheering everyone on from the sidelines this week!"
