Strictly Come Dancing fans have said that Josh Widdicombe looked more 'at home' and 'relaxed' during the first results show of the current series. The new presenting team of Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe took over from Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, and the trio were split between the dancefloor and the balcony during the show.
First Elimination of the Series
The dance contest returned to TV screens on Saturday night (October 3) for its second week, after the new series kicked off last weekend with a peak audience of five million viewers, according to the BBC. The first results show took place on Sunday evening (October 4), which saw the first elimination of the series.
During Saturday's show, all 15 couples performed a film-themed dance for Movie Week. Among the dances were an American smooth performed by Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington and a salsa by Shaun Wright-Phillips and Alexis Warr.
Fans React to Presenter Switch-Up
On Sunday's show, viewers learned which dancers would be leaving. Celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton and his professional partner Amy Dowden were the first to be voted off.
During the results show, fans commented on how the new presenters were faring. When the show began, Emma and Johannes sat upstairs to chat to the judges before the elimination began. Josh then swapped to be upstairs with Johannes to chat with the celebrities who were safe, while Emma remained on the dancefloor to announce the results.
