Strictly Come Dancing viewers were distracted by Will Best's leather outfit during the first live show of the series on Saturday (September 26), with fans taking to social media to express their admiration.
The Big Brother presenter opened the live broadcast with partner Dianne Buswell, performing the Samba to Robbie Williams' 'Rock DJ'. His black vest and leather trousers quickly became a talking point among audiences.
Fans react to Will Best's outfit
One viewer wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "Will in the vest and leather pants [fire emoji] #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing," while another declared: "Will Best in LEATHER. I'm gone."
Another fan exclaimed: "Will Best's outfit? IT'S A 10 FROM ME #strictly." The new Strictly participant was also labelled "eye candy" following his appearance in the striking outfit.
Performance scores and new spin-off
The couple accumulated 18 points from judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke, which will be carried forward to their next routine. There is no public vote or elimination scheduled for this week.
The BBC is also set to broadcast a new companion series, Strictly: Lights Up, fronted by Strictly alumnus Tyler West and comedian Abi Clarke. The spin-off will be available exclusively on BBC iPlayer every Sunday evening, airing immediately after the results show concludes.
Its official synopsis states: "Abi and Tyler will take viewers straight onto the Strictly dancefloor for immediate reactions from the night's eliminated couple, their dance off opponents - plus the judges, hosts, other Strictly stars and studio guests." The new programme debuts on BBC iPlayer next Sunday (October 4), when the first celebrity couple of the current series will be eliminated.
