Strictly Come Dancing viewers issued a major complaint minutes into the BBC One show's first results show of the series, aired on Sunday, October 4. The celebrities had dressed as their favourite film characters for Movie Week and returned to the ballroom to fight for their place in next week's show and avoid the dance-off.
Viewers react to Emma Willis's presenting role
Minutes into the broadcast, Emma Willis was seen presenting alongside Johannes Radebe as the judging panel returned for the judges' review, reflecting on the night's performances. It did not take long before viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts on Emma being paired with co-stars throughout the show.
Many viewers took issue with the former Big Brother host not presenting the show on her own. One user wrote: "Genuinely why are Strictly so against having Emma do some presenting/ interviewing by herself?? It's not her job to babysit everyone else. Let her SHINE."
Calls for Emma to host solo
Another agreed: "Just give Emma the job and get rid of the other two, she's class." A third added: "Why doesn't the BBC have confidence in Emma being on her own on SCD. She presented Big Brother and The Voice by herself."
A fourth chimed in: "Why do they keep pairing Emma? She can do this ON HER OWN." The complaints centred on the BBC's decision to pair Emma with co-presenters rather than letting her front the show alone.
