Stacey Solomon has described filming ITV's The Masked Singer as an "absolute dream" as she takes on two major new ITV roles while continuing to present BBC One's Sort Your Life Out.
The 36-year-old TV personality is currently filming the upcoming series of Sort Your Life Out, which sees her and her expert team - Dilly Carter, Robert Bent and Iwan Carrington - help families through a "life-changing declutter". The programme first launched in 2021 and the most recent series wrapped in April, with the team now working on the seventh series.
New ITV Roles
Earlier this month, it was announced that Stacey would join The Voice UK as a fresh co-presenter alongside Alesha Dixon. The show was originally fronted by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates from 2012 to 2014, before Emma Willis took over hosting solo in 2017 after JLS star Marvin Humes departed.
For the 2027 series, ITV confirmed Emma has left The Voice UK to take on presenting duties on Strictly Come Dancing, alongside Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe. Stacey and Alesha will succeed her. Stacey is also joining the next series of The Masked Singer as a celebrity guesser, teaming up with comedian Alan Carr.
Filming Update
Sharing an update on her Instagram Story on Sunday, Stacey apologised for not posting a promised "spend the day with me" vlog. She explained that her partner Joe Swash took the children into rehearsals while she was not allowed in, as the guessing is done from videos before seeing performances live.
She said: "I've over-promised and under-delivered on the old 'spend the day with me' vlog. Got there with the kids and Joe [Swash] took them into the rehearsals because I'm not allowed in the rehearsals. We make our guesses, the first couple of times, off the back of a video and then we see them sing for the first time, so I'm not allowed in the rehearsals."
She added: "I'll tell you what did happen, though. Jonathan Ross brought me in some sweets, which was the cutest thing ever and they were so yummy. But it was another amazing day. You know when you just feel so lucky to be somewhere? And I'm having so much fun. I'm so lucky and it's just been an absolute dream."
Stacey concluded: "So, sorry about the lack of vlog that I promised. I'm rubbish at this and you know when you're just concentrating so much you just forget to even get your phone out? I'm concentrating so hard on trying to guess who these people are and make sure I'm listening to all the clues from watching all the things. I didn't have it in me to get the camera out."
