Last year, the files revealed that she had kept in touch with the late convicted paedophile even after he was convicted for child sex offences. Emails between the pair showed how close the friendship was, with Sarah and her daughters even going for lunch with Epstein.
Sarah has always denied wrongdoing and has previously expressed regret over her friendship with Epstein. However, the files were enough to damage the former duchess’s reputation, resulting in her keeping a low profile since the files were released.
Return to public life
During this time, rumours have been swirling that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s ex-wife is plotting her return back to public life. Just this week, reports have suggested that she may be planning a tell-all explosive autobiography.
A source told The Sun that the former duchess is “on a mission” to rescue her reputation. One source told the paper: “Sarah wants to set the record straight about everything and earn some money to resolve her financial issues. There has been a secret bidding war, and a deal is close to being secured.”
Insiders dismiss claims
While rumours are swirling, an insider has said that a book is not on the cards for Sarah. The source told The Daily Express that there is no truth in the story and that the former Duchess of York “has no plans to write any tell-all memoir” and is “unaware of any multi-million dollar book deal”.
They added: “She is not in discussion with any publisher regarding this, and she is completely unaware of any multi-million dollar book deal.”
It is not currently known where the duchess is staying, with reports this summer that she had been living in Portugal with her daughter Princess Eugenie and her family.
