Television personality Ruby Wax has found herself at the centre of a jungle scandal after being caught red-handed stealing food from her fellow I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! campmates during Tuesday night's episode.
The Sweet Theft That Shook the Camp
The 72-year-old star secretly made off with a full bag of liquorice allsorts, intending to enjoy them herself without sharing. Viewers watched as Ruby scurried away from the group, offering a justification for her actions. "Sorry it's each man for themselves now, this is so heavenly," she declared, later adding, "I'm sorry just the inner animal took over, I got a mouth to feed, which is mine."
Mixed Reactions from Campmates and Viewers
The reaction within the camp was divided. Social media star AngryGinge, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, appeared to laugh off the incident, suggesting Ruby's fame allowed her to get away with behaviour that would be questioned in others. "The beautifully ruby wax has walked off with a full bag of liquorice sweets," he joked.
However, former football star Alex Scott MBE was visibly unimpressed by Ruby's decision to go behind their backs and take the entire bag of sweets for herself.
The real fury erupted on social media platform X, where fans of the ITV show did not hold back:
- One viewer criticised the apparent double standard, writing: "Ruby taking the whole bag isn't acceptable just because she's older she's not stupid.. if this was one of the younger lot they'd get in trouble."
- Another stated plainly: "That's actually rather selfish of Ruby I'm sorry she wasn't the one that won those sweets."

Ruby Wax is one of the famous faces taking part in the ITV jungle show's 2025 All Stars series, with producers likely hoping her outspoken nature would create dramatic moments. The American-British comedian first shot to fame in 1985 appearing as Shelley DuPont on Girls On Top before building a successful career in documentaries.
She became known for interviewing high-profile figures including OJ Simpson and Donald Trump. During a previous podcast appearance, she revealed she still holds some anger towards fellow documentarian Louis Theroux, whom she claimed took the idea of her investigations from her as her career began to slow down.
The food theft has certainly provided the dramatic content producers sought, though it has painted the 72-year-old in a controversial light, revealing a competitive and self-serving side that has alienated some of her campmates and the viewing public.
