Jack Keating reveals dad Ronan's one rule for Love Island All Stars return
Ronan Keating's one rule for son's Love Island return

Jack Keating, the 26-year-old son of Boyzone legend Ronan Keating, is set for a dramatic return to television as an original contestant on Love Island: All Stars. The radio presenter, who first entered the villa briefly in 2022, has opened up about his famous father's surprising reaction and the one major rule he must follow.

From Casa Amor to All Stars: A Family Flip-Flop

Jack's initial foray into the Love Island world in 2022 was short-lived, lasting just five days as a Casa Amor bombshell. He admits his dad was nervous back then. "I think he was s***ting himself a bit the first time because I had no experience with like media, TV, anything in the spotlight," Jack told The Mirror and other press.

This time, however, the dynamic has completely reversed. After pursuing a media career, Jack says Ronan is "very happy" and "more excited" about the All Stars stint. The singer now lives abroad, so Jack only told him once his place was confirmed.

Interestingly, his mother – Ronan's first wife Yvonne Connolly – has had the opposite reaction. "My mom was so excited for me the first time and my dad wasn't, whereas this time my mum is like, 'Are you sure?'" Jack revealed, noting she questioned if he wanted to put himself "back in the hot seat again."

The Golden Rule: 'Just No Sex On TV'

Despite his increased confidence in his son, Ronan Keating has reiterated one non-negotiable piece of advice. "Just no sex on TV. He said that to me last time and this time as well," Jack laughed. He added that while his dad didn't feel the need for a serious talk this time, the rule stands firm.

When asked if he would follow it, Jack grinned and remained coy. "I'll see," he said. "I'll try everything once. I'm not ruling everything else but I don't know. We'll see what situations arise. Maybe!"

A Father's New Perspective on Love

Jack's life has changed significantly since his first villa appearance. Shortly after leaving in 2022, he discovered he was going to become a father following a fling with Keely Iqbal. He is now a dad to two-year-old daughter Maya.

This experience has fundamentally altered what he's looking for in a partner on the show. "In my first couple of relationships, I maybe introduced my daughter to people too soon so this time, I'm looking for someone very family-orientated and okay with the situation I'm in," he explained.

He acknowledges that being a single dad might be a deal-breaker for some, but it's a priority for him. "I want somebody who wants to have kids as I do want to have more kids in the future, when I do get married down the line."

Love Island: All Stars begins on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
