Romesh Ranganathan 'has stand-up routine about Celebrity Traitors'

Romesh Ranganathan has reportedly written a stand-up routine about his time on Celebrity Traitors. The Weakest Link host, 48, has been testing new gags for his upcoming tour, which kicks off next month.

Romesh recently performed a surprise gig in London with references to his time at Scotland's Ardross Castle - without spilling any secrets.

Surprise gig in London

One spectator told the Mail on Sunday: "The crowd was stunned when Romesh walked on stage. He was testing material for his tour, and everyone was loving it. While he was careful not to give any spoilers, Romesh made comments about his time in the castle, what filming the show was really like and his best pal and fellow Faithful Rob Beckett."

The dad-of-three filmed the hit BBC show in May alongside stars such as Jerry Hall, Maya Jama and Michael Sheen. Romesh's surprise gig took place at The Top Secret Comedy Club in front of a small crowd who paid just £5 for tickets.

The venue is famous for "secret guests" like Jack Whitehall and Michael McIntyre who have turned up to test new material before taking their shows on the road.

Podcast hint at feud

Meanwhile, Romesh hinted he was involved in a spat with one of his Celebrity Traitors players. In a recent episode of his podcast, Wolf and Owl, the comedian told pal Tom Davies there was one star who didn't like his "general vibe". Romesh didn't name the person, but did say: "Sometimes people just don't like you and that's okay."

The comic has been contacted by the Daily Star for comment.

Joe Lycett's plea

It comes after Joe Lycett pleaded with producers to allow him back into Celebrity Traitors after he was banished from the Scottish castle during last Friday's episode. The devastated comic received 10 fatal votes at the Round Table, but feared he had already sealed his fate the night before by banging on about his desire to be recruited by the traitors.

It made him an easy target despite his protestations and pleading with his co-stars that he had just been "giddy". The comic, 38, described his three week experience as "joyous, thrilling and infuriating" and still believes it might not be over.

He said: "I'd like to motivate the Traitors to find an unknown clause in the contract that can bring back a Faithful that's been banished to recruit because I'm there if they want me!"
