The Celebrity Traitors has returned to screens with its first episode, hosted by Claudia Winkleman. Following Alan Carr's victory last series, a new line-up of famous faces has arrived at Scotland's Ardross Castle for the game of deception.
A fresh batch of 21 celebrities is competing to win up to £100,000 for their chosen charity. Claudia previously admitted she "couldn't get over it" when she heard who was taking part, adding that her bosses "had to repeat the names at least three times".
Who is in the new line-up?
This year's actors and film stars include Michael Sheen, Bella Ramsey, Richard E. Grant and Miranda Hart. They are joined by Coronation Street's Julie Hesmondhalgh, Industry star Myha'la, Scottish actress Sharon Rooney, Jerry Hall, EastEnders' Ross Kemp and Heartstopper's Sebastian Croft.
The musicians in the group are singer James Blunt and former Little Mix member Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Presenters Maya Jama, Professor Hannah Fry and Amol Rajan are also taking part, alongside content creator King Kenny and comedians Romesh Ranganathan, James Acaster, Joe Lycett, Rob Beckett and Joanne McNally.
How the game works
The host selects several Traitors from the group, while the remaining players, known as the Faithful, do not know who has been chosen. All players gather at a round table daily to vote out Traitors.
The eliminated player reveals their true identity. Each night, the Traitors meet in secret in the castle's turret and decide who to murder and eliminate from the game.
At the end of the game, if any Traitors remain, they take home the cash prize for their chosen charity. If only Faithfuls remain, they split the cash prize between them, which increases through challenges along the way.
