Olivia Attwood was compelled to step away from filming after confessing she felt 'rattled' by her mate's most recent procedure. The former Love Island star and TV personality was accompanying her former The Only Way Is Essex co-star Bobby to hospital and theatre for the newest instalment of her documentary series The Price of Perfection.
Bobby's cosmetic journey in Turkey
Now into its third series, tonight's episode (August 11) centred on individuals jetting overseas for surgical procedures. Olivia journeys to Turkey, a destination where countless celebrities and ordinary punters snap up special deals encompassing flights, hotels and various operations.
Footage revealed how Bobby, who spent ten years on ITV reality programme TOWIE, has undergone a dramatic physical makeover since departing the show. This encompasses fitness routines alongside eight cosmetic procedures. Olivia disclosed that virtually all of these took place in Turkey. She accompanied the 39 year old in Istanbul as he geared up for his inaugural facelift.
Distressing scenes in theatre
During one of his final consultations ahead of the surgery, he disclosed the treatment would encompass "face, neck and trimming up the eyes." He also requested his surgeon eliminate the buccal fat from his cheeks. Bobby disclosed that while he wasn't footing the bill for his surgery, he was shouldering additional expenses including travel and accommodation.
He was already plotting future visits as he remarked: "Turkey gets a really rough deal but they kind of just give their customers what they want."
Olivia remained in theatre while Bobby underwent the procedure, but it proved overwhelming for her. In distressing footage, his skin is shown being peeled away from the facial muscle. She confessed to the camera: "I'm struggling to watch it. I don't know. It's so weird, all the surgery I've watched. I literally can't watch that."
Olivia then paused momentarily before departing the room. She continued: "It's the first time ever I've walked out of theatre. I think it's completely disarmed me. I didn't expect to find it so difficult, my hands are like, shaking. I don't like it." The presenter also indicated she felt overwhelmed by the constant stream of people entering and leaving the room, describing it as 'chaos'.
Shocking recovery video
Subsequently, Bobby sent a video message to Olivia documenting his recovery progress. He apparently explained he'd done so because he was struggling to type text messages to her. When he appeared on screen, Olivia was visibly stunned by the sight of her mate and let out a gasp. She turned the phone towards the camera to reveal Bobby's severely swollen face, rendering him completely unrecognisable.
After viewing it she remarked: "Wow. How can you deal with that in a hotel on your own? Far away from where you live, family and friends because I couldn't. Oh Bobby, what have you done?"
