Motherwell Fans Slam 'A.I Tiger' Sponsor on New Kit

Motherwell fans have expressed strong disapproval of the club's new kit, specifically targeting a prominent 'Lucky Tiger' sponsor on the shorts. The Steelmen unveiled their traditional claret and amber shirt with white shorts on Tuesday, but the left leg of the shorts features a large 'A.I Tiger' logo that has drawn widespread criticism.

The sponsor appears to be for a competitions website offering prizes such as cash, cars, holidays, watches, and luxury items. After the club posted an image with the caption 'Staying true to our identity,' one supporter responded: 'Don’t think the tiger is staying true to our identity.'

Fan Reactions on Social Media

Social media quickly filled with negative comments. One fan wrote: 'Those shorts are absolutely awful. The top, meh! Saves me a bit of cash I suppose as kids also say it’s honking and don’t want one. Stick with the anniversary top, ta.' Another added: 'Get that AI generated Tiger in the bin,' while a fellow supporter echoed: 'That short sponsor is embarrassing. Get the lucky tiger in the bin.'

A poster questioned: 'Is that shorts sponsor real? Can someone check the date and make sure it’s no 1st April,' while another said: 'So much potential and then ruined it with all the sponsors. Totally understand the draw of the cash, but the sponsors have killed the look for me.' Sarcasm also featured: 'I was hoping for an Ai generated tiger on the shorts.'

Mixed Reactions to Overall Kit

Some fans praised the kit overall but criticized the shorts sponsor. One commented: 'Stunning kit, not so sure about the massive short sponsor though.' Others said: 'Wonderful kit. Thoo I’m not so sure on the sponser' and 'Nice kit without the sponsors. That shorts sponsor is grim.'

The kit launch comes as Motherwell prepare for a new era under manager Alfred Johansson. Despite the backlash, the club is offering pre-orders for the new kit on its website.
