Love Island star Millie Court has candidly discussed the breakdown of her relationship with fellow winner Liam Reardon, hinting at the brutal reality that led to their split. The 29-year-old is set to return to the villa for the highly anticipated Love Island: All Stars series, which begins on Monday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
Long-Distance Struggles and New Standards
Ahead of her return, Millie spoke to The Mirror and other press outlets, revealing the lessons learned from her on-and-off romance with Liam. The pair, who won the 2021 series together, finally parted ways in September last year. Insiders had previously suggested their long-distance relationship proved too "difficult" to maintain.
Millie seemed to confirm this was a major factor. When questioned on whether she would consider dating an international contestant after her experience with long-distance, her response was unequivocal. "Only if they agree to move to London - I'm not moving!" she stated, setting a firm new boundary for any future romance.
Maturity and Not Taking "Any S**t"
Reflecting on her first Love Island journey, which infamously saw Liam cheat on her during the Casa Amor twist, Millie emphasised how she has changed. "I mean I'm 29 now, so I'd say I've definitely matured, grown up a bit," she explained.
She added with a laugh, "I won't take as sh** this time, oops sorry for my language. But who knows? You know when you really like someone, sometimes they make a mistake and I don't know, I can't speak for future Millie, hopefully I won't take any s**t." This marks a clear evolution from the more forgiving attitude she showed during her original series.
A Mission to Find "The One"
Now approaching her 30th birthday, Millie admits her priorities have shifted dramatically. She is returning to the iconic villa with a very clear goal: to settle down. "I'm 30 this year, so I am on the hunt to find my husband and someone who I can have kids with because I don't want another relationship that doesn't work out," she confessed.
"I want to find the one," Millie stated emphatically. "So hopefully that happens." This declaration underscores a significant change from her first stint, where the prize money and experience were the initial draws.
In a surprising twist, Millie also revealed she is willing to step away from her usual physical type to find a genuine connection. While she has historically preferred tall, bearded brunettes, she acknowledged this might need to change. "I think maybe that's not working. So maybe I need to switch it up a little bit," she mused, indicating a more open-minded approach to her All Stars journey.
