Married At First Sight UK experts have stepped in after bride Sarah made a series of 'disrespectful' comments about her husband Dean during the first dinner party. The couple, who wed in the debut episode, have struggled as Sarah repeatedly expressed disappointment and lack of attraction to Dean.
During the dinner party, Sarah told fellow participants she had the 'ick' from Dean, describing him as 'annoying' and needing space. She also referred to him as 'the funny fat kid' and 'a care bear', prompting expert Mel Schilling to say: 'It's starting to feel like Sarah is mocking Dean. This is getting really frustrating to watch.'
Expert Charlene Douglas added: 'It's the way that Sarah is going about it that is feeling so disrespectful. Telling everyone about all the issues that Dean has, that's a sign of immaturity.' Mel Schilling described her comments as 'quite cruel'.
In a teaser for the next episode, expert Paul C Brunson confronts Sarah, saying: 'This man is talking about how lovely his partner is, and you are on the other side disrespecting him!' Sarah breaks down in tears, telling cameras: 'That's not me, that's not who I am.'
Earlier, during the honeymoon, Sarah had sparked outrage by suggesting Dean should 'get some tattoos and lose some weight' to spark sexual chemistry. The commitment ceremony is set to air tomorrow night on E4.
