MAFS UK's Leigh Harris Lands New Role After Heartbreaking TV Confession
MAFS UK star Leigh Harris lands new role after show

Just weeks after her televised marriage ended on Married at First Sight UK, star Leigh Harris has exciting professional news to share. The 30-year-old NHS clinical coder from Romford has landed a new presenting role, marking a positive turn in her personal and professional life.

From Matrimonial Struggles to a New Beginning

Leigh was one of the hopeful singles on the latest series of the Channel 4 social experiment, paired by experts Mel Schilling, Paul C Brunson, and Charlene Douglas with 35-year-old construction consultant, Leah Tyrer. While the match seemed perfect initially, Leigh soon confessed to cameras that she feared she may have made a "mistake", feeling Leah lacked sufficient masculine traits.

The couple's journey was marked by fiery disputes, yet they managed to reach the final vows. However, their relationship ultimately ended at the final altar meeting after a row ensued when Leigh kissed fellow bride Leisha Lightbody during a girls' day out.

In her final vows, Leigh declared, "We've struggled with communication, trust, misunderstood feelings and unwanted behaviours. Your behaviour, jokes and remarks towards other women only ever caused me to be more closed off." The pair mutually agreed to part ways.

A Pinch-Me Moment: Presenting at The Beauty Awards

Now, Leigh has embarked on a thrilling new chapter. On Tuesday, November 25, the reality TV star took to Instagram with a jubilant post announcing she had attended The Beauty Awards with Boots UK and had the honour of presenting an award.

Sharing snaps with her MAFS co-star Davide Anica and experts Mel and Charlene, Leigh wrote a heartfelt caption. "This was a seriousssss pinch me moment. I still am not quite over it," she expressed.

She continued, "Being invited to @thebeautyawardsuk with @bootsuk and having the opportunity to present an award to an amazing brand, being in a room full of the most creative and inspiring individuals to celebrate and recognise the dedication so many put into their craft was something I'll be forever grateful to be part of. I have MASSIVE imposter syndrome right now but am just feeling so incredibly lucky."

Leigh also thanked her management, "@jjprexclusive and @pwrmanagementsocial for believing in us and for giving us an opportunity neither myself or @daveanica ever thought we could have."

Support from Co-Stars and Personal Challenges

Her MAFS co-stars and supporters were quick to celebrate her success in the comments. April Holmes penned, "It's giving presenter GODDESS!!!" whilst Bailey Smith chimed in with, "Presenter now yeah, go on girl." Another admirer gushed, "Beautiful humans, good people deserve good things."

This exciting update comes shortly after Leigh made a devastating admission on social media earlier in the week, where she confessed to dealing with anxiety and processing a lot in her personal life. Her new role represents a significant and positive step forward as she navigates life after the experiment.

Married at First Sight UK is available to stream on Channel 4.
