Married At First Sight Australia fans have voiced their anger after bride Juliette unleashed a scathing outburst on groom Joel during Wednesday's episode (8th April). The pair, who are struggling to connect, reached a breaking point during an intimacy exercise, leading viewers to urge Juliette to 'just leave'.
The drama unfolded during family and friends week, which has seen tensions rise among several couples. Juliette admitted to producers: 'I've been fighting the ick all week and it's doing my head in.' When asked to maintain prolonged eye contact with Joel, she refused, calling it 'inappropriate', and stormed off, shouting: 'You're p****** me off, I'll leave actually.'
Juliette continued her tirade through a closed door, snapping: 'You aggravate me, darl.' She later declared: 'I'm not going to stare into your devil eyes' and refused a hug, saying: 'You don't get the privilege to touch me right now... Just don't come near me anymore you p*** me off.'
Viewers were unimpressed, with one posting on X: 'Juliette! Just f****** leave then and do herself, Joel and us lot a favour!' Another commented: 'Juliette seems checked out so maybe she should just leave.' A third added: 'At this point Juliette just leave.'
Some fans compared her behaviour to previous contestants, with one writing: 'I thought Bec was vile but Juliette takes that crown.' Others labelled her conduct 'disgusting' and a 'red flag', while one said: 'Juliette is behaving like a teenager.'
The couple later participated in a photo ranking challenge, which only heightened friction. One viewer remarked: 'Juliette is brutal,' while another said: 'Joel and Juliette are driving me insane, wrap it right on up man.' Married At First Sight Australia continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on E4.
