Married At First Sight Australia stars Bec Zacharia and Rachel Gilmore clashed on the first night of the couple's retreat after Bec made a 'vulgar' comment about Rachel's intimacy with husband Steven.
Rachel had bravely opened up to the group about taking her relationship with Steven to a new level, a significant step for the usually private bride. However, Bec allegedly responded by making a crude joke, reportedly saying the couple had 'f**ger b*nged', which was bleeped out during the pre-watershed broadcast.
Rachel was visibly upset, telling producers: 'I didn't think it was funny. She turned something that Steven and I were so excited about... into a joke.' When prompted to apologise, Bec said: 'Ah Rach I'm so sorry, I apologise. It was meant to be a bit of fun.' Rachel rejected the apology, stating: 'Well it's not funny... you just made a joke of it.'
Bec denied making a joke and defended her actions, referencing her own marriage struggles with husband Danny Hewitt. The argument escalated, with Rachel ultimately leaving the table, saying: 'I'm done with tonight, thanks guys, have a good night.'
It remains to be seen if the two brides can reconcile before the retreat ends, but further drama is expected.
