Married At First Sight Australia 2026's oldest couple, Rebecca Zukowski and Steve Powell, have become the first pair to leave the experiment. Despite a promising wedding day, their relationship unravelled during Intimacy Week, leading to their departure at the second commitment ceremony.
At the ceremony, both wrote 'leave' after Rebecca complained she felt 'unheard' by her husband. Steve disagreed, describing the issue as a 'personality clash'. Rebecca tearfully told her TV husband she was 'robbed of the experience', adding: 'When I love and care about people I give everything to them, and I feel like it was a complete waste of time.'
Since leaving, both have spoken about continuing their search for love. Steve commented he 'wasn't going to rush it', while Rebecca told 9Entertainment: 'Being single for eight years, I didn't realise how lonely I am, I actually want to find love more than anything.'
