Love Island's Mara Delivers Brutal Verdict on Simba and Angie's Romance
Love Island's Mara Gives Savage Verdict on Simba and Angie

Former Love Island bombshell Mara has delivered a savage four-word assessment of Simba and Angie's blossoming romance, just days after Simba declared his love for Angie in the villa.

Mara's Verdict

Appearing on the latest episode of Aftersun, host Maya Jama asked Mara: "Do you think Angie and Simba will work on the outside Mara?" After an audience member shouted to "tell the truth", Mara shook her head and responded: "I don't think so."

Mara, who was brought back from Casa Amor by Simba, had previously criticized Simba for his behaviour in the villa. Her blunt assessment comes after Simba and Angie have seemingly reconciled following the Casa Amor drama.

Simba's Declaration of Love

On July 13, Simba and Angie took their relationship to the next level as they confessed their love for each other. Simba told Angie: "I know where my head's at, I know where my heart's at. There's that saying that home is where the heart is and my heart is with you. We've laughed, we've cried. I didn't think I'd come here and meet a girl like you and have these type of feelings that I'm feeling."

He added: "The way I'm feeling right now, I thought I'd take you to terrace and tell you that I love you, I genuinely love you."

Fan Reactions

Viewers at home were gobsmacked by Simba's turnaround and took to social media to express their support. One fan posted on X: "Yes Simba messed up but he put in WORK to win Ange over again. I hope they win." Another commented: "Simba and Angelista got me again I'm sorry." A third wrote: "Bro simba and ang need to win they both honestly deserve it." On Instagram, another fan said: "I fear I'm MOVING for Simba and Angie again they're cute."

Background

The drama began when Simba brought Mara back from Casa Amor, leaving Angie isolated and at risk. However, upon returning to the main villa, Simba remained torn between his feelings for Angie and Mara. With Angie on the verge of ending things, Simba chose to sever connections with Mara and attempt to win back the original islander.

After recognizing his deepening emotions, he apologized to the group before gathering everyone around the firepit and reading from his notes everything he adored about Angie.

Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
