Love Island's Ellie Chadwick Quits After Finley Voted Out

Ellie Chadwick broke down in tears as she chose to leave Love Island during explosive scenes aired on Thursday night, following the elimination of her love interest Finley Maddock by their co-stars on the ITV2 reality dating series.

Ellie's Decision to Quit

The 24-year-old real estate videographer had been enjoying a blossoming romance with Finley Maddock, but the relationship soured when he fell for Elicia, a bombshell who entered the villa. According to reports, her decision to quit stemmed from hearing the results of a viewer poll for favourite boy and favourite girl, which played out in the latest episode.

Host Maya Jama announced that Martha, Elicia, Mica, Jordan, Finley, and Samraj were named, revealing that the girl and boy with the fewest votes were Elicia and Jordan, who were immediately eliminated. Jama stated: "You have been dumped from the island, say your goodbyes and leave the villa immediately. Another boy and another girl will be leaving the villa tonight, and that decision will be down to all of you. Today, you all gave your opinions anonymously but now it's time to be honest face to face."

Finley's Elimination

As Finley awaited his fate, he said: "I'm stood here for a reason, for the s*** I've done. Whatever happens, happens. Yeah..." The islanders then voted to send Finley home, along with Martha, as Ellie watched tearfully while her co-stars apologised. She simply replied: "It's fine. It's done." But she then whispered: "I can't do it. I'm going," and burst into tears.

Ellie's Emotional Exit

Ellie insisted that no one else entering the villa would make her as happy as Finley had, and begged her co-stars to stop arguing over their decision. She said: "Who is gonna walk through these doors and I'm gonna have a connection in two weeks like I did with you? F*****g leave it, stop arguing. I'm going. You've done what you had to do so I'm going so please don't f***g argue with each other." She then reassured Lorenzo that she had "made peace" with her decision and was looking forward to seeing her family.
