Love Island Viewers Call Episode 'Torture' After Double Bombshell Twist
Love Island Viewers Say Same Thing After Double Bombshell Twist

ITV Love Island viewers were left saying the same thing after a double bombshell twist in the latest episode, with many describing the show as 'torture' and calling for one islander to be dumped following his reaction.

Tonight's edition (June 7) of the popular reality dating show was meant to feature the fallout from George Knight's departure, but fans noted that it took a considerable amount of time into the programme for him to actually leave.

Subsequently, Aidan made a desperate attempt to keep possibilities with Ellie alive, but she firmly closed the door on any potential romance. Not to be outdone, his younger sibling, who is currently paired with Ellie, went on to inform both Robyn and Jasmine that they share tremendous sexual chemistry together.

However, Aidan was the first to stumble. Not only were there concerns regarding his kissing skills, but during a chat about former partners with Yasmin, he mistakenly called her Ellie.

It had already been hinted that two fresh faces were set to arrive and lure all the lads into an evening out for drinks. However, their every action was carefully monitored, reports OK!

Back at the Villa, the ladies were stunned as Jasmine received a surprise text message. It read: 'Girls, bad news, you've been stood up. The boys have gone to meet two new Bombshells.' A second text swiftly arrived for Angelista, which said: 'Good news, you'll be able to watch them.' The girls huddled around the screen to watch the boys getting acquainted with Victoria and Namibia, but it didn't take long before their genuine feelings were revealed. Ope admitted he felt guilty about the girls before confessing he was 'sweating' and had a 'wandering eye'.

This prompted Angelista to ask in disbelief: 'Has he lost his head?' The girls branded him fake in his respectfulness as he confessed that he couldn't trust himself. Taking a more level-headed approach, Samraj said he was 'excited for Sam', who has been in a friendship couple with Robyn. Numerous girls declared that they 'were done' after witnessing how their boys conducted themselves.

Viewers tuning in at home were largely underwhelmed by the latest episode. Many complained that it took far too long for the programme's main drama to kick off. Others were left cringing at Aidan and Kavan's antics. One person posted on social media: 'OMG enough of this man what is going on?'

Another added: 'Are you kidding me? 40 minutes of the Chuckle brothers, congrats producers for fumbling another season.' While a third said: 'Where are the challenges? Why is this turning into the Aidan show?' Someone else commented: 'This episode seems like it's been on for two hours already.'

One person simply moaned: 'This is torture.' Another suggested: 'Love Island UK, this is why USA is eating you all up since season 10, like where are the challenges? Where are the male bombshells? You do not need to bring in more women for these terrible men.'

Viewers also appeared baffled that despite the latest preview showing the arrival of two new bombshells, tonight's episode only featured them in the closing five minutes. Even following the group date, viewers slammed the moment as being overly scripted and stilted. Nevertheless, one Islander in particular appears to have put themselves in jeopardy, as numerous fans predicted Ope will face the axe soon. A viewer said: 'Ope has shown his true self tonight. Get him out.'

Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
