The grand finale of ITV2's The Heat aired, crowning Kat, 22, as the winner of the first series. The young chef impressed judge Jean-Christophe Novelli during the final service at The Heat restaurant in Barcelona, beating runner-up Jayon, also 22.
Kat was left speechless after her win, calling it a 'pinch me moment'. She admitted she didn't know what she would do next, describing the experience as 'one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had'. Jean-Christophe presented her with a knife engraved with her new title.
Since filming in 2025, Kat has continued to share recipes on social media and revived her professional chef account @thekitchenkat_. She expressed gratitude for the experience, saying it gave her belief in herself and reminded her why she started cooking.
Jayon, the runner-up, said he gained confidence and clarity, feeling he earned respect and proved himself as a leader. The final episode is now streaming on ITVX and aired on ITV2.
