Joanna Page in Talks for I'm a Celebrity

Joanna Page, best known for playing Stacey Shipman in the BBC sitcom Gavin and Stacey, is reportedly in advanced talks to appear on the upcoming series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The mother-of-four from Swansea is said to be keen to show her real self in the Australian jungle.

Advanced Talks Underway

According to a source close to the actress, negotiations with ITV are progressing positively. The source told The Sun: 'Joanna is in the advanced stages of talks for I'm a Celebrity and all the signs are looking positive. She's a huge BBC star and it would be a coup if ITV can get her to sign her contract and put her front and centre on their biggest entertainment show.'

The insider added that Page has confided in friends that she is 'really keen to take part and wants to go on and make her children proud.' Representatives for Joanna Page and ITV have been contacted for comment.

Gavin and Stacey Legacy

Page's iconic role in Gavin and Stacey, which concluded with a Christmas Day special in 2024, drew over 20 million viewers. Her potential jungle stint would follow in the footsteps of her on-screen father-in-law Larry Lamb, who appeared on I'm a Celebrity in 2016, finishing in seventh place.

Other Rumoured Contestants

Joining Page in the rumoured line-up is Olympic ice skating legend Christopher Dean, who is also reportedly in talks for the show. The programme, which returns to ITV and ITVX in November, will see celebrities compete in trials and challenges for the title of King or Queen of the Jungle.

Previous Winner

Last year, social media star Morgan Burtwistle, known as AngryGinge, won the 25th series with 65% of the public vote, becoming the first social media personality to win the UK version. He described his victory as 'unbelievable' and a dream come true, admitting the experience was physically and mentally challenging but taught him to appreciate his loved ones more.
