Welsh actress Joanna Page, best known for her role as Stacey Shipman in the BBC comedy Gavin & Stacey, is reportedly in advanced negotiations to appear on the 2026 series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The mother-of-four from Swansea is said to be eager to step out of her character's shadow and reveal her true personality to the public.
Joanna Page's Motivation and Talks
According to an insider quoted by The Sun, Page is in the advanced stages of discussions with ITV, and the prospects look promising. The source noted that as a major BBC star, her signing would be a significant win for ITV, potentially placing her at the forefront of their biggest entertainment show. Page has reportedly told friends she is keen to participate and hopes to make her children proud through the experience.
Previous Gavin & Stacey Presence in the Jungle
Page's potential appearance follows that of her co-star Larry Lamb, who played Mick Shipman in Gavin & Stacey and participated in the 2016 series of I'm A Celebrity, finishing in seventh place. Viewers will be watching to see if Page can surpass his performance and claim the title of Queen of the Jungle.
Other Potential Contestants and Previous Winner
Alongside Page, Olympic gold medalist and Dancing on Ice legend Christopher Dean is also reportedly in discussions to join the 2026 cast. The show's 25th series, aired in December 2025, was won by social media personality AngryGinge (Morgan Burtwistle), who secured 65% of the public vote, defeating runner-up Tom Read Wilson. AngryGinge described his victory as unbelievable and acknowledged the physical and mental challenges of the jungle experience.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! is expected to return to ITV1 and ITVX in November 2026.
