Jerry Hall has shared that her children urged her to be cautious before she began filming Celebrity Traitors, and she has already given her ex-partner Mick Jagger strict instructions to step in if any family issues arise while she is away.
The Texas supermodel, who was in a relationship with the Rolling Stones frontman from 1977 to 1999, described herself as "completely obsessed" with the programme. Speaking to The i Paper, she said: "I told Mick that I'd let my four children know that if any of them had a problem, they were to call him because I was busy."
Family warnings before the Highlands
Jerry and Mick share four grown-up children: Elizabeth, Georgia, James and Gabriel. She also revealed to The Mail that her children cautioned her: "Mom, don't do anything dangerous! Be careful. You think you're younger than you are. You and Dad are always doing things that you did in your twenties that maybe you shouldn't be doing now."
She added: "I'm very competitive, as is Mick and our children. Everyone wants to win. I tend to be the leader when it comes to games. But I'm going to try to behave."
Star-studded line-up for the new series
The Claudia Winkleman-helmed reality show airs on October 1 and will bring together 21 famous faces, including actor Michael Sheen, Love Island's Maya Jama, EastEnders star Ross Kemp, Corrie's Julie Hesmondhalgh, comedian Romesh Ranganathan, actor Richard E Grant and singer James Blunt. Contestants will be assigned to either the "Faithfuls" or the "Traitors" as they compete for a £100,000 prize pot for charity.
In June, Jerry shed light on Mick's role as a grandfather, telling British Vogue that he "comes out here quite a bit" with his fiancée Melanie Hamrick and their son, Deveraux Octavian Basil, describing them as "so sweet". She said the rocker is a "great diplomat" and noted that all the children and mothers in their blended family like each other.
Reflection on past relationships
Speaking in June, Jerry said she hasn't seen Rupert Murdoch since what she described as their "traumatic" divorce. The former couple married in 2016, holding their wedding at a Fleet Street church. In 2022, Hall filed for divorce in a US court, citing "irreconcilable differences".
Speaking to British Vogue, Jerry said: "Not all exes you want to be friends with, do you? Some people aren't friendly. But I think when you have children with someone, it's important to be friendly." She said she and the billionaire were married for six and a half years and had "no children", adding that she hasn't seen him "in a couple of years" — not since the divorce. She said such separations are "always traumatic". Murdoch, 95, went on to remarry in 2024, taking retired Russian biologist Elena Zhukova as his fifth wife.
