I'm A Celebrity trailer sparks debate over rumoured lineup

The first trailer for the 2026 series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has been released, but the rumoured lineup has divided fans on social media.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are set to return to ITV on November 16 for the show's 26th series. The new trailer, shared on Friday, October 16, shows the duo conducting a choir singing a jungle-themed version of the 12 Days of Christmas, before getting soaked in "12 tubs of offal".

Rumoured cast list revealed

Popular X account Super TV shared a list of 12 celebrities rumoured to be taking part. The names include former England footballer Wayne Rooney, Big Brother presenter AJ Odudu, Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson, Little Mix star Jesy Nelson, Diversity's Perri Kiely, and Gavin & Stacey's Joanna Page.

Also on the list are former Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova, Love Island star Chloe Burrows, BBC presenter Ade Adepitan, Mis-Teeq's Su-Elise Nash, YouTuber Sharky, and former England cricketer Ben Stokes.

Fans divided over the lineup

Some fans were excited by the rumoured names. One X user said: "I actually know most of them, I can't believe it." Another added: "The fact I know 90% of them makes it suspicious to me." A third wrote: "Oh I know 8 of them! To be fair though, I'm not one of 'those' people. I'll watch it whoever's on."

However, others were less impressed. One user said: "I only know Wayne, AJ, Jesy, Joanna, Chloe." Another asked: "Who the hell is Sharky?" A third claimed: "Wayne Rooney is highly unlikely sadly." And a fourth cast doubt over Nadiya, saying: "I don't think Nadiya is going in as she is booked for panto at the beginning of December."

Last year's series saw social media personality Angryginge, real name Morgan Sam Lee Burtwistle, crowned King of the Jungle, beating Celebs Go Dating's Tom Read Wilson and EastEnders' Shona McGarty in the final. The identities of this year's 12 contestants remain a secret for now.
