I'm A Celebrity South Africa Delivers Dramatic Jungle Twist

Viewers of I'm A Celebrity... South Africa are in for a shocking revelation during Tuesday night's episode, as a wild twist sends two campmates packing from the jungle for good. The all-stars edition of Ant and Dec's ITV survival series continues to captivate audiences, with former celebrities including Coronation Street icon Beverley Callard, football manager Harry Redknapp, and former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt all returning for another shot at jungle life.

Pairings and Immediate Elimination Threat

In scenes set to air, the campmates will be paired up to undertake trials and challenges. The twist is stark: the losing pair from the latest trial will be sent home immediately, adding intense pressure to the already grueling competition. This follows previous departures, such as comedian Seann Walsh, controversial boxer David Haye, and TOWIE legend Gemma Collins, who have all left the jungle in earlier episodes.

Dec sets the stage, announcing: "For the next few days, you’ll be taking on trials and challenges in pairs. Your fate going forward will depend on how well you perform during each trial in that pair." Ant then explains the pairing process: "You’re each going to take a stone from this bag. If you pick a red stone that means you get to choose your partner. If you pick a white stone, you have to wait to be picked!"

Trial Details and Campmate Conflict

Once pairs are formed, Dec declares: "Let battle commence," as Ant outlines the rules for the trial, dubbed "Rancid Run." One member of each pair will be locked in a cage, retrieving cogs from an abacus using only their tongue. After obtaining a cog, they must pass it to their partner, who then navigates the Rancid Run to place it on a box. Only then can the next cog be retrieved, with five cogs required in total.

Tensions quickly escalate as the trial gets underway. Jimmy Bullard and Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas break into a heated argument. Jimmy expresses doubt, telling Ant and Dec: "I haven’t got it in me," prompting Adam to yell in frustration: "Are you f***ing taking the p***? I am in there getting covered in f***ing ants!" Reports suggest that even eight months after filming, the pair remain not speaking to one another, highlighting the lasting impact of the conflict.

Reflections on Jungle Experiences

Earlier in the week, Gemma Collins opened up about her departure, sharing no hard feelings towards David Haye, despite previous sexist comments causing friction. She reflected: "I’ve got no bad feelings to David, everyone has their time. I'm so happy I’ve got to relive this whole experience again, last longer, I was much more determined this time and had a lot to prove." Gemma added, "Just to do a trial was such a moment in my life because I never thought I could do it. It’s always easy to be outwardly confident but sometimes inside you’re a little bit less confident. I’m going back GI Jane, I’m going back yeah baby. God knows what I'm going to do next. I just don't think I’ll be as scared of everything."

I'm A Celebrity... South Africa airs weekdays at 9pm on ITV and ITVX, promising more drama and surprises as the competition heats up.
