Kelly Brook has revealed a bizarre encounter with American superstar Lizzo, claiming the singer completely ignored her during a live radio interview. The 45-year-old model and presenter, who is set to appear on this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, recalled the uncomfortable moment while discussing her experiences co-hosting Heart Radio's drivetime show.
Brook said she expected warmth from the Grammy-winning singer, who she described as a 'strong woman', but was left stunned when Lizzo refused to acknowledge her. 'She didn't take her glasses off and she didn't look at me once. She just spoke to JK,' Brook told The Sun, referring to her co-host Jason 'JK' King. 'It was like I didn't even exist. It was weird.'
The former Strictly Come Dancing star admitted that such experiences are rare, saying: 'Most people we love. It's very rare we get one that's like that. That was unusual.' The revelation comes as Brook prepares to swap the radio studio for the Australian jungle, where she will join fellow campmates including Ruby Wax, Lisa Riley and social media star Angry Ginge.
Before flying out, Brook was spotted at Heathrow Airport with her husband Jeremy Parisi, admitting she will miss her dog Teddy most of all. According to insiders, she went to great lengths to ensure her pampered pooch was well cared for, preparing gourmet meals including poached salmon with cavolo nero cabbage and venison steak with Chantenay carrots. The source added that Brook even labelled Teddy's meals to prevent her husband from accidentally eating them.
Brook, who married Italian model Parisi in 2022, has previously said she would never do I'm A Celebrity, citing a hatred of confined spaces and an aversion to eating eyeballs or sheep testicles. However, seven years later, she has had a change of heart, and fans are eager to see how the glamorous TV personality copes with jungle life.
